How Our Network Works
Request a provider estimate
The referral and the work have different roles
Pathensure Restoration connects homeowners with independent local providers. It does not send employees to restore your home or manage the repair. The provider you choose handles the assessment, proposed work, and service agreement.
At the start of the conversation, confirm the business name and whether you are discussing a referral or speaking directly with the provider. Ask who will answer questions about the job after the first call. Keep that contact information with your notes.
Request a callback to check provider availability and explain what you have noticed.
Share what you know without taking risks
Describe the source of the water if you know it, when you noticed it, and which rooms look affected. Mention standing water, sewage, ceiling damage, or possible electrical hazards before discussing belongings.
You do not need to enter an unsafe room to gather details. Say when the source is unknown. Photos taken from a safe position may help explain the situation, though they cannot replace an assessment. Tell the provider whether you own the home and whether building management needs to be involved.
Ask how the provider will find hidden moisture
Water can move under flooring and into wall materials. Ask how the provider will check those areas and decide what needs drying, cleaning, or removal.
Useful questions include:
- What areas need moisture checks beyond the visible wet patch?
- What can I safely do before the assessment?
- Which equipment do you propose, and why?
- How will you measure progress and decide when drying is complete?
- Could the water source require a separate repair?
Ask the provider to explain unfamiliar terms. A clear answer should help you understand the proposed work and its limits.
Review the agreement before work starts
Request a written scope, price, and payment terms. Ask whether the quote includes equipment use, material disposal, and follow-up moisture checks. Find out how additional damage or changes would affect the price.
Confirm who will perform the work and check any credentials relevant to it. If insurance may be involved, contact your insurer about policy terms and required records. Keep copies of what you sign. You choose whether to accept the provider's proposal or seek another quote.
Leave the conversation with a clear next step
Before ending the call, confirm availability, access needs, and who to contact with questions. Ask which rooms or items should be left alone until assessed.
Request photos, findings, and drying records as part of the discussion. These can help you track the job and explain the damage later. When you are ready, request an estimate from a local provider. Share only what you can safely observe and let the provider assess the rest.
Request a callback
Tell us where the water reached and what you have noticed. Ask about a local provider or request an estimate for your home.
